What is GHS? – Globally Harmonised System (Globally Harmonized System) What is CLP? – Classification, Labelling and Packaging (classification, labeling and packaging). The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals of the United Nations is an international standard system to classify chemicals, including labels and safety data sheets. Based on this labeling scheme was developed after intensive preparation for Europe its own regulation implementing the UN Model Regulations: Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, also called the CLP regulation.. This provision has 2015 in the place of two previous legislation, the Dangerous Substances Directive (Dangerous Substances Directive, DSD) and the Dangerous Preparations Directive (Dangerous Preparations Directive, DPD) entered.
